Wired Real Estate is an independent reference on the land side of the AI build-out: where data center campuses are being announced in the United States, what each state offers to attract them, and what a landowner or county official should know before signing or voting on anything.
It is not affiliated with any developer, utility, broker, or investor. Nothing here is investment, legal, or tax advice.
How records are sourced
- Every project record links to at least one public source: a company announcement, a filing, a permit, or reporting by a named outlet.
- Capacity is announced capacity unless the status is Operating. Headlines inflate; we record what was actually stated and by whom.
- Status changes require a source dated after the previous one.
- Each record shows when it was last verified. After 90 days without a re-check the date turns amber so you know to treat it with care.
- State pages describe both the incentive case and the opposition case and stay out of the politics.
Corrections and tips
If a figure is wrong, a status is out of date, or a project is missing, send the source and we will update the record. A contact form will live here once the site is deployed. In the meantime the full dataset is available as CSV and JSON.
